Jacob Lowenthal


Jacob Lowenthal, a partner of the firm since its founding in 1983, is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Master in Business Administration with a specialty in business transactions and cross border Israel / U.S. international tax structuring, planning, and reporting.

 

Mr. Lowenthal has been involved with tax planning strategies for Israeli start-ups, real estate, manufacturing, and service organizations and setting up operations in the U.S.

 

Mr. Lowenthal and the Firm’s Israeli office professionals play key roles within each of the companies branching out to the U.S. market, assisting in the creation, formation and strategies relating to establishing the accounting and tax platforms for their U.S. subsidiaries, as well as working closely with the Israeli parent companies.

 

Mr. Lowenthal is routinely requested to be a panelist and presenter at tax and accounting conferences in Israel directed at owners, shareholders, CEOs, CFOs, controllers, Israeli CPAs and attorneys, and of organizations with presence in the U.S. or with the intention of creating a presence in the U.S.

Benjamin Tamir


Benjamin (Ben) Tamir is a Certified Public Accountant and a partner of the firm. Mr. Tamir has first-hand experience in providing consulting on tax-advantage business restructuring strategies, audit representation with state, local, and sales tax authorities, and in handling multi-state tax issues.

 

Mr. Tamir has gained substantial experience during his career in handling  the organization of the accounting systems and verifying the tax compliance for domestic companies as well as extensive dealings with the firm’s U.S. and international clients having cross-border relationships of parent / subsidiary companies between the U.S. and Israel.

 

Mr. Tamir’s experience is complemented by specific knowledge of U.S. taxation of U.S. expatriates living in Israel as well as of Israeli citizens living in Israel and having connections to the U.S. 

Ron Goldring


Ron Goldring, a partner of the firm since its founding in 1983, is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Goldring has represented corporate taxpayers in connection with the federal taxing authorities (IRS), various state taxing authorities, including transfer pricing examinations and international inbound and outbound transactions.

 

Mr. Goldring and the Firm's U.S. office staff distinguish themselves on the basis of their ability to be part of a team in both the U.S. and Israel, specializing exclusively in cross-border relationships between Israeli parent companies and their U.S. subsidiaries.

 

During his career, Mr. Goldring has advised on general corporate tax and accounting matters to a wide range of private and subsidiaries of public companies in the areas of Federal, Multi-State and International tax compliance, Franchise Sales and Use tax compliance, and setup of U.S. accounting software.

 

In the United States more than 40 states are requiring mandatory peer review of firms that issue compilation, review, and audit reports through legislation sponsored by the Boards of Accountancy. Mr. Goldring has extensive experience in the areas of Reviews and Audits of Financial Statements and is in charge of the firm's peer review of the system and of quality control of the accounting and auditing practices in accordance with the standards established by the Peer Review Board of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Gary Michael


Gary Michael is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Master in Business Administration from Michigan State University. In 1965, Mr. Michael became an associate professor of accounting at the University of Vermont until joining the firm in 1995. 

 

Mr. Michael, with a specialty in auditing of U.S. based subsidiaries of Israeli parent companies, has extensive knowledge and experience in preparation of quarterly reviews and annual audits of financial statements to be consolidated with the financial statements of Israeli parent companies owning subsidiaries in the U.S.

 

Mr. Michael is experienced in tax preparation of U.S. income tax returns for individuals and businesses as well as not-for-profit organizations.
